The illustrious Jen Vaughn and I have a show of our work up for sale at Rosey Jekes in Hanover NewHampshire. We both created watercolor paintings based on some of our favorite books from classic literature. I was inspired by the mad beauty of Moby Dick, while Jen was romanced by Pride & Prejudice. Some day, maybe we’ll collaborate and create illustrations with 19th century women in empire style dresses hunting whales while Captain Darcy broods. Or, we’ll have bearded sailors politely sipping tea while trading longing glances and love letters.

Already I’m in the thrall of a new project. In fact, I am pursuing a new career as professional cat-sitter just so that I have the opportunity to draw them. Now, just tell me that these little bastards don’t make you melt.
