Overboard

This weekend I’ll be heading out to SPX, aka Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland! I’ll be tabling with the infamous Jon Chad, and Colleen Frakes. There you can pick up a copy of my Xeric winning comic Overboard! And while you’re there check out Jon Chad’s amazing children’s book, Leo Geo. It’s not only fun and beautifully drawn, but it’s also full four-eyed quadclops monsters and weird science.

Ignatz This weekend is the SPX convention, and I for  one am jazzed. I spent the last few weeks putting together comics and generally giving myself papercuts, gluing things where they should not go, and stapling. Lots of stapling.

I now have a ka-million copies of all my comics including a brand new set of comics, illustrations, and sketches that I like to call: Finding Moby Dick. It has enough skeletons and whales to warm the cockles of your heart.

I hope that if you attend SPX this year, you will take one look at the nominees for the Ignatz award and say, “My gosh, but I have a terrible urge to vote for Laura Terry in the category of outstanding mini-comic.” But whatever the case, there are some really amazing contenders in this category, and I am proud to be among them.
